We are an English speaking childcare setting based within Park Baptist Church Hall, Tenth Avenue, Galon Uchaf, Merthyr Tydfil CF479TE and are registered with CIW (Care Inspectorate Wales) to take up to 19 children aged between 2 and 5 years of age.

Our aim is to give every child the opportunity to benefit from all learning experiences provided in a fun and creative way regardless of their needs. We are committed to providing the appropriate support for every child and welcome those with additional learning needs. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive setting. Staff attend a variety of training in order to meet the individual needs of the children in our setting.

Plant Hapus @ Cymryd Rhan operates from a newly converted church hall. The setting has sole use of the premises which consists of a main indoor playroom, small kitchen, 2 children’s toilets and sink units, disabled toilet with nappy changing area and a sensory room. Outside we are lucky to have a large undercover shelter with a soft floor play area which can be used in all weathers. We have an electric gate opening system to prevent anyone accessing or leaving the premises without staff knowledge.

We have adapted Planning in the Moment throughout the setting and maintain a natural, holistic environment in which the children can learn and grow.

Here at Plant Hapus we are always looking for ways to involve the local community in what we do at the setting. Check out below the Fun Days we held at the setting over the summer holiday.
